Yes, our old piano was alot like ...Thank you, Mum! Yes, our old piano was alot like this one... That was a sturdy old thing. Remember the woodwork with the lion's head? I can't believe the conditions it survived --the old shed, the cold parlor and then the basement! My Steinway wouldn't hold up so well, I'm sure. It doesn't like this cold, dry winter, so we have a humidifier puffing out vapor to help. The G loses most of it's wonky tone when we get over 35% humidity, though I can still detect tone issues in a couple other keys. (Ideally, a piano should be kept around 40%.)
