Be Not Afraid!

Forty years ago (November 1907), The Etude printed upon its editorial page the following quotation from the big-hearted, far-seeing, inspiring English novelist, Charles Kingsley (1819-1875).

During the years, this splendid thought of Queen Victoria's chaplain has guided us through many difficult paths.  Fear of the unknown is one of the leading roads to failure.

    1. Yes, isn't it? Perhaps not as catchy and quick as "Keep Calm and Carry On" (personally, I like the phrase: "Keep Calm and Drink Tea"), Mr. Kingsley's quote reflects the same admirable British stoicism!

Thank you for reading, dear niece.
